On Saturday 15^th November Lexden is delighted to welcome world class squash once again to our club.

Headlining the event is British Champion and World no4 Joel Makin. Joel has enjoyed incredible success in his career of late; making the semi finals of the British Open PSA Diamond event and winning the World Series Finals, a closed competition featuring the top 8 players in the world. Joel has always been known as an incredibly fit and fierce competitor on court, and in order to reach WR4 has added some incredible racket skills to his repertoire. We can’t wait to see him up close on our show court!

Accompanying Joel is Scottish no1 and World no20 Greg Lobban. Greg has held a stable top 20 place in the world for the past two years, reaching a height of WR16 in that period. Greg posesses attacking flair in spades backed up by truly impressive physicality. A quick look through PSA highlight reels will almost definitely show Greg slamming an outrageous nick at the end of a brutal rally.

What more can we say about local hero Daryl Selby. Former world no9, England Captain, World Team Champion, British Champion, Commonwealth Silver Medallist… the list goes on. Daryl cemented his record as one of the most entertaining players ever on tour with his near constant features in the PSA ‘Shot of the Month’ competitions. If you’ve never seen Daryl swing a racket before… prepare to be blown away.

We are also delighted to welcome another local hero Owain Taylor back to our show court. Owain is currently ranked 112 in the world, and has been as high as 87. Owain has proudly represented Wales on a number of occasions on the same team as Joel Makin, their best result winning bronze at the World Team Championship in Washington. Owain is a very powerful mover and aggressive ball striker, and will add some serious entertainment to what will be an incredible night of squash.

Lexden has capacity for a single viewing row upstairs on our balcony gallery, and unreserved seating and standing downstairs.

There will be smaller floor height seating reserved right at the front for young children.

We will reserve seated space downstairs for anyone with special requirements.
