Our Squash Stars are shining bright.

We have recently launched Squash Stars at Lexden Rackets and Fitness Club, which is a programme to help get kids active and into sport.

Our Lexden Squash Stars have been playing activities such as dodgeball, cat and mouse (trapping a rolling ball with a bucket), co-operative catch with one bounce and serve / bucket catch. All exercises are adaptable to be made easier or harder depending on the children’s abilities.

The six-week local Squash Stars programme costs £42 – or just £7 for each session. And, mindful of the cost-of-living crisis and the financial pressure on parents, every child who signs up will also be given a free racket, Squash Stars t-shirt, ball, goggles and kit bag.

Squash Stars is open to youngsters aged five to nine, teaching the fundamental skills needed to play squash, with expert coaches helping them improve hand-eye coordination and all-round physical literacy, as well as working on important life skills like resilience and teamwork.

With Christmas fast approaching, Squash Stars would make a great gift and the next set of sessions start on January 13th 2024.
